HuskyCon VIII

HuskyCon has a lot of repeat visitors because of the high quality of the event. Most people who come to our tournament, come back again and again. Last year's event went so smoothly that this year there isn't much different.

1. Costume Diplomacy:

It was fun last year. We hope more people dress up this year!

2. Off-site accommodations:

Our home can only fit so many people. Each year more and more people are camping in the backyard, and more and more people are getting hotel rooms. If you are willing to stay in a nearby hotel please let us know. We will try arrange for a group rate if we can. Several people stayed at a nearby hotel and said cab rides were from 10-14 dollars each way. If traveling in a group, this does not cost very much and is cheaper than renting a car. Also if you bring a significant other, Port Jefferson (where the hotel is located) is a nice place to visit. There is of course, always camping space. You will be helping us out a lot by taking off site accommodations.

3. Scoring System/Rules:

We will stick to the same scoring system and rules that we used last year. Points will be awarded equal to the number of centers you have plus a placement bonus. A board top gets 8 bonus point, second place gets 4 bonus point, and third place gets two bonus points. We will be following all of the NADF best practices for our rules.
