All we can tell you on this one is to fly take a train or drive. New York City, as you all know, is a major transportation hub for the Northeast section of the US. NYC is serviced by three airports - JFK, LaGuardia and Newark. We are not able to pickup any people from Newark, but we may be able to hook you up with someone else arriving in Newark.
Should you arrive at Laquardia or JFK we should be able to arrange transportation for you. Last year we had a hard time getting people from the airport. This year we are going to do our best to get everyone that lands on Long Island. Simply send us your itineraries and we will try coordinate a pickup for you through someone else that is driving, however we will not be driving out to JFK or Laguardia except under very special circumstances.
Of course, from all three airports, there is a good public transportation system. From Newark you can take New Jersey Transit to NYC Penn Station. From there you can take Long Island RailRoad to Stony Brook station. We can pick you up from there.
From LaGuardia or JFK you will have to take the AirTrain. The AirTrain costs $5 and you will take it to Jamaica station, a Long Island Railroad station. From there you take the train to Stony Brook station. We can pick you up from there.
I got nothing yet. Check MapQuest. Ill put something up here later.
